Group rallies behind Aiyedatiwa with branded campaign materials

As the Ondo State governorship election draws closer, the re-election campaign of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and his Deputy, Dr. Olayide Adelami, continues to gain momentum, with notable support from a political group known as the Engr. Mebinone Support Group for Aiyedatiwa (EMSGA).

The group, a formidable force within the state’s political landscape, has reiterated its unwavering backing for the governor’s bid for a new term by making significant contributions to his campaign efforts.

Constituted in Constituency 1 and 2 of Ilaje Local Government Area, the group is canvassing votes for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate and has extended its campaign support to other councils.

In a show of commitment, the group unveiled a branded vehicle, 100 T-shirts, and 650 face caps to bolster the governor’s campaign activities across the state.

The unveiled items, fully equipped with campaign slogans and imagery promoting Governor Aiyedatiwa’s accomplishments, will be deployed across the 18 Local Government Areas to ensure that the governor’s message of continuity and progress resonates with the grassroots.

In a telephone interview with The Hope regarding a town hall meeting held by members of the group, the leader, Mebinone Asogbon, emphasised their collective belief in Governor Aiyedatiwa’s leadership, citing his administration’s achievements in infrastructure, agriculture, healthcare, and education, among others.

“Governor Aiyedatiwa has proven to be a visionary leader dedicated to the growth and development of Ondo State. We believe that his new term will further consolidate the gains we’ve witnessed, and it is our duty to ensure he returns to office for the benefit of our people,” he said.

The group also pledged to intensify its grassroots mobilisation efforts, focusing on reaching every local government, ward, and community in the state.

According to Asogbon, the focus of the group is to take the campaign to all 18 local governments to ensure Aiyedatiwa secures massive votes in the upcoming November 16, governorship election.

He outlined plans to join Aiyedatiwa’s campaign train across all local governments, highlighting the need for the electorate to give their votes to the governor to elevate the state to greater heights.

Asogbon said that organised town hall meetings, door-to-door campaigns, and other voter engagement activities to spread Governor Aiyedatiwa’s message and policies have been well received by the electorate.

The latest show of support by the group at the weekend, he pointed out, adds to the growing list of endorsements from youth groups and women’s associations, all rallying behind the governor ahead of the November 16 election.
