Stakeholders from across the five local government areas of the Ekiti North Senatorial District: Ido/Osi, Ilejemeje, Ikole, Moba, and Oye, have finalised plans to hold a Grand Endorsement Rally in support of the Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, and his deputy, Chief (Mrs) Monisade Afuye.
According to a statement released by the planning committee, the rally is scheduled to take place at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at the Event Arcade, Akinlade Estate, Olojudo Road, Ido-Ekiti.
Themed “One Ekiti North! One Voice! One Agenda! BAO Again!!!”, the rally aims to publicly endorse the governor’s bid for a second term and highlight the district’s unified support for his administration.
The event is expected to draw political leaders, youth and women’s groups, professionals, artisans, traditional rulers, and members of civil society, all aligned in their backing of Governor Oyebanji’s leadership.
Speaking on behalf of the rally’s planning committee, Chief S.I. Abejide described the event as a “reflection of our collective resolve to uphold leadership that is rooted in vision, values, and verifiable results.”
He praised Governor Oyebanji’s performance in office, noting that his administration has been characterised by integrity, competence, and a people-oriented approach to governance.
“Governor Oyebanji embodies the spirit of selfless service and transformational leadership that our people deeply respect. Ekiti North is not only endorsing him, we are reaffirming our confidence in a leader who represents the very best of our aspirations,” Abejide said.
The rally’s theme underscores the shared values of unity, progress, and principled governance that stakeholders say define the Ekiti North identity.
Organisers emphasised that the gathering is not merely political but a civic demonstration of trust and a collective vision for the future of the state.
The announcement was jointly signed by Rep. Akintunde Rotimi, Jr., Member of the House of Representatives (Ekiti North 1 – Ikole/Oye), and Adeoye Stephen Aribasoye, Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, both serving as Co-Chairmen of the Events and Media Sub-Committee.
