Gunmen, suspected to be kidnappers, have abducted at least three persons at the Innoson showroom in the Nnewi area of Anambra State.
The Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the abduction on Wednesday, November 27.
Ikenga disclosed that the victims were kidnapped at the Innoson motorcycle showroom on Owerri Road in Nnewi on Tuesday evening.
He stated that the Anambra State Police Command, along with the Joint Task Force (JTF), has launched a rescue operation to recover the abducted victims. The police have also visited the scene of the incident and gathered useful information to aid the investigation.
The police spokesman urged anyone with valuable information that could assist the investigation to come to the command’s headquarters in Awka, the Anambra State capital, or to the nearest police station.
Ikenga added that individuals with information on the abduction could call the toll-free emergency number 112.
