Handball holiday coaching for Ekiti students

In preparation for the 2019 National Youths Games, arrangement has been concluded by the Handball Association, Ekiti State chapter to organise a 5-day handball holiday coaching clinic for students in secondary schools in the state.
The five day handball clinic which will hold at the Oluyemi kayode, stadium Ado-Ekiti, will featured about 70 students as the boys and girls from different schools in the state will be taught the rudiments and techniques of the game of handball.
The General Manager, Ekiti state Sports Council who is also the Chairman, the state Handball Association, Chief Deji Shamo, urged the young players to be focused, adding that being a former handball player, he would continue to prioritise the upkeep of every handball players.
Similarly, Ekiti state Handball coach, Kayode Idowu, expressed delight at the turn out of school children for the holiday clinic and their enthusiasm to participate in the game.
He noted that out of all private and public secondary schools in Ekiti state, students from only six public secondary schools which includes, CAC grammar schools, All souls Grammar School,
Christ Boys and Christ Girls Secondary schools Ado-Ekiti
Muslim college, Mary Immaculate and
Ado Grammar school all in Ado-Ekiti the Ekiti state capital, turned out for the holiday clinic.
The coach added that at least 16 male and 16 female handball players of secondary school age with required talents and vigour will be pencilled down as potential players to represent Ekiti state at this year’s National Youth Games qualifiers and the NYG proper comming up later in the year.
