Hardship pushed me into music — Segun Johnson

Popular Nigerian musician, Segun Johnson, has opened up on the circumstances that pushed him into the music industry, attributing his career choice to the economic hardship in the country.
Johnson, renowned for his unique style of singing at events, made the revelation during a chat with media personality, Teju Babyface.
Speaking on his humble beginnings, the singer disclosed that he ventured into music as a means of survival due to the dire economic situation in Nigeria.
Responding to a question from Teju Babyface, who asked whether music had always been his dream or when he discovered it could be a viable profession, Johnson said in Yoruba: “Ebi ni, hunger ni (hunger led me to it). If you are in Nigeria, you don’t have a choice.”
