Health Commissioner tasks workers on diligence

Ondo State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Banji Ajaka has charged staff of Ondo State Contributory Health Commission (ODCHC) to redouble their commitment to duties towards achieving the desired goals of the state health sector.
Ajaka gave the charge in his keynote address during his official familiarisation visit to the commission in Akure.
While calling for stronger collaborations between the commission,Ministry of Health and other agencies in the state health sector Ajaka noted that ODCHC was the first agency to visit him on assumption of office saying the development is a demonstration of their commitment to service delivery.
He equally commended the Director General of the commission, Dr. Abiodun Oyeneyin, the Management and general staff for their operations and activities.
Also speaking, Director – General of the commission, Dr. Abiodun Oyeneyin said through the activities of the commission, Ondo State has achieved and surpassed other states in Nigeria in health insurance.
Oyeneyin said the commission which commenced operations in the state in June 2019 was determined to feature appropriately on the eight- point development agenda of the Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN -led administration in Ondo State code named REDEEMED.
While reiterating the commission’s determination to deliver on its mandate, he appreciated the Commissioner for the visit.
In his speech, the Consultant to the Ondo State Governor on Health Insurance, Dr. Funso Ani averred that the commission was created to be a private sector driven commission to drive the state’s health system and appreciated the Commissioner for the visit.
