Law enforcement agencies in Ondo town have arrested a 38-year-old herbalist, David , with a baby placenta and charms.
Items, recovered from the suspect included, a pot containing placenta with different charms in his house at laje road behind Mother and Child Hospital in Ondo.
The Hope Metro gathered that the police at Enu-owa, yaba, fagun and Amotekun in the area went to his house as a team based on information that his the herbalist that gave cultists charms to kill themselves in the town.
It was gathered that they meet him given charm to suspected cultists and also using blade to cut their hands and apply different charms.
The Hope Metro gathered that the cultists started shooting sporadically when they saw police and later escape from been arrest.
The police said the suspect would be arraigned at the end of investigation.
The suspect, while speaking to journalists, said the placenta belong to somebody that gave birth to a child with placenta around his neck, saying if the child is sick there is something to do with the placenta so that he will get well immediately.
He explained that cultist do come to him for spiritual assistance to protect themselves especially when oppositions are fighting.
