Hoodlums vandalise constituency project in Akure

Some hoodlums have vandalised a Solar Powered borehole facilitated by late member representing Akure South/North Federal Constituency, Mr Adedayo Komolafe a.k.a Expensive.

The project was constructed by Federal Ministry of Agriculture at Ifepade  Oshinle, in Akure South Local Government area of Ondo State.

The Ondo State Coordinator of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development FMARD, Mr Tony Otuonye expressed sadness over the development which he described as a sad way to honour the facilitator.

He described the vandalisation as a conspiracy and mandated the Landlords association to make official report to the state office of FMARD for documentation and record purposes immediately.

Otuonye, who gave the directive through the General Secretary of the community, Mr Niyi Omotosho told them to quickly make arrangement to replace the pump since they have been generating revenue from it and ensure it was functional and report same to the FMARD state engineer for Inspection and confirmation so that it can be  commissioned officially.

Reacting on the development, the General Secretary of Ifepade community in Oshinle, Mr Niyi Omotosho said efforts were ongoing to ensure that another submissive machine of the borehole stolen was replaced and case had been reported to the Police station.

Also, the President of Oshinle Youth Achievers, Mr Oluwaseun Olugosi expressed sadness that the Landlords were not capable of taking care of the project.

He said, the police arrested the security officer of the community and released him same day without further investigation on the situation which had  left residents suffering the consequences.

The FMARD state Engineer, Mr Richard Kehinde expressed shock as he said it would have taken the vandalizers a minimum of 30 minutes before having access to the location of the submissive pump direct currency to be removed.
