HoS lauds civil servants’ attitude to work

Ondo State Head of Service, Pastor Kayode Ogundele has expressed satisfaction with the attitudes of civil servants in the state noting that there has been tremendous attitudinal changes towards the discharge of their duties.

He spoke after his unscheduled inspection visit to the state secretariat annex situated along Benin/Owo expressway in Akure.

According to him, the essence of his occasional unscheduled visits to government offices was to encourage officers to always be on their beats and face their jobs squarely.

While urging the workers in the state to utilize the working hours which are from 8 am to 4 pm on the week days, the Head of Service charged workers to eschew the habits of loitering around and engaging in idle talks while they are expected to be at work.

Noting that all civil servants have certain assignments committed to their hands, he charged them to ensure they deliver on their tasks as expected.

He however encouraged all civil servants in the state to be more committed to work as their productivity would positively affect the state economy and in effect, the ability of the government to take care of their welfare.

Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Youths and Sports Development, Engr. Ajibola Ogidan described the visit as an impetus to spur the workers for more commitment to service.

Administrative Secretary, Directorate of Rural and Community Development in the state, Mr Wole Akinkuotu, enjoined workers to be at work at all speculated times.
