How death rumour traumatised my family – Yinka Quadri
Veteran Nollywood actor Yinka Quadri has shed light on how rumours of his death unsettled his family.
In June, reports of Quadri’s alleged demise went viral, sparking concern among his fans and loved ones.
Quadri promptly debunked the claims via a post on his Instagram page, affirming that he was “alive and well.”
However, during a recent interview on Oyinmomo TV, the 65-year-old actor expressed dismay over the actions of those who propagated the false news. He revealed that the rumours caused unnecessary stress and anxiety for his family.
“When I saw the news, I said, ‘Well done, you content creators.’ Although no one would be happy whenever people spread death rumours about them. But I leave the person behind the rumours to God’s judgment. If the person thinks that causing sadness in people’s families is an opportunity to attain success.
“Despite the fact that my children are overseas and we have constant communication every three days, they were like, ‘I still spoke to Daddy last week.’
“It got to a stage where everybody became troubled. They now started calling in the morning, afternoon, and called again at night to confirm my well-being,” Quadri recounted.
