In a bid to address various challenges confronting the nation, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been urged to kick-start the processes of restructuring the country.
An All Progressives Congress, APC, chieftain, Dr Olumuyiwa Adu stated this in an interview with The Hope.
He said restructuring would reduce the cost of governance, improve the remuneration of workers and create enabling environment for industrial growth.
Adu also stressed the need for amendment of the constitution which he said require some modifications.
He said the Federal Government should spend less on governance and use bulk of its resources to develop the country, the people and ensure high standard of living.
He expressed dissatisfaction over Senior Public officers who have spent 35 years in service, do not earn up to N500,000, whereas, some elected officers are paid as much as N10 million.
According to him, quality leadership is necessary to make governance less attractive.
This, Adu said is achievable if the current leadership can plan workable solution in addressing the situation.
