Our God is the God of help. He is even the immediate Help in times of trouble. Psalm 46:1 “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble”. (Psalm 46:1, ESV). He wants us to have Confidence in His help today. You have to believe the truth about His help. His help brings great accomplishments that are beyond the ordinary. His help adds the extra to our ordinary. “In Jerusalem he made machines, invented by skillful men, to be on the towers and the corners, to shoot arrows and great stones. And his fame spread far, for he was marvelously helped, till he was strong. (2 Chronicles 26:15, ESV). That is the Testimony of King Uzziah. God’s help gave him wisdom to invent. He became a great manufacturer by God’s Help. His fame spread by God’s help. I see God arising to help you this week. Your testimony shall be “Come and see a Woman that was helped by God. Amen.
You are however, needed in this equation so it can work. You must arise now and say No to average lifestyle.
The average living does not require God’s help. An average life is the general lifestyle. That is where so many people are. The Lord said He will help us but He wants us to arise today and take our lives to the next level by saying no to mediocrity. Let’s see someone who received God’s help even in a strange land. We shall be looking at the forces that made him. His name is Daniel. He was taken captive from his land. In Babylon, Daniel was a slave but he rose to prominence there. Why?? He was helped by God. He was helped like no other. All the indices of a helped man can be found in Daniel’s life. He stood out. He was excellent. Daniel was relevant throughout his stay in a strange land. He was always standing before Kings. He was helped, no doubt, but this man had character. He was strong on the inside. He desired an excellent life and had it. He was distinguished. He said no to mediocrity. By decision, by determination and by discipline. Hear a testimony of a woman about him: Daniel 5:11-12 (KJV)
“There is a man in thy kingdom, in whom [is] the spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of thy father light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, was found in him; whom the king Nebuchadnezzar thy father, the king, [I say], thy father, made master of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, [and] soothsayers; Forasmuch as an excellent spirit, and knowledge, and understanding, interpreting of dreams, and shewing of hard sentences, and dissolving of doubts, were found in the same Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar: now let Daniel be called, and he will shew the interpretation.”
What are the Forces that made God’s help visible in Daniel’s life?
He knew he was in Babylon for a purpose. God said to Jeremiah in Jeremiah 1:5 (KJV)
“Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, [and] I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.”
When you know that you are here on assignment, It will shapen other things about your life. It shapened what he ate and determined his company Daniel 1:8 and Daniel 2:17( see the people he fasted with in Daniel 1:17.) Until you are where He wants you to be don’t expect His unique help. Know God’s purpose for your life and pursue it with passion. You are not an accident, you.are an incident. Live for purpose. Live on purpose.
He knew his God. There is a knowing of God by Daniel.
Daniel 11:32 (KJV)
“And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do [exploits].”
He knew his God is a deliverer so he was not afraid of the lions of his enemies. Knowing your God brings peace.
Ps 147:14 “He maketh peace [in] thy borders, [and] filleth thee with the finest of the wheat. ”,
Knowing your God brings confidence and boldness -Prov. 28:1 the righteous are as bold as a lion” …. Knowing your God makes you to take bold steps. How could Caleb ask for…..the mountain at 85? –Joshua 14:10-12 (KJV)
“And now, behold, the LORD hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years, even since the LORD spake this word unto Moses, while [the children of] Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I [am] this day fourscore and five years old.
He was a man of prayer. He was relentless. He Prayed on the same topic for 21 days. He wouldn’t stop till he gets an answer- Joshua 1:8a “ ”. He kept on speaking the Word back to God in obedience. Daniel started praying in Daniel 9 but the answer didn’t come till Daniel 10:13. Prayer draws you closer to God. When you pray in tongues, the Holy Ghost aligns God’s heart with your desires. Each time you pray, the nature of sin dies. Be committed to prayer.
He was a man who always desired to know secrets. A man of revelation and visions. Don’t be contended with the status quo. Ask questions. Ask God for revelations. What stopped my parents? Why am I still here? Is this all about me? Was God answering him? Yes- Dan 2:17-19, Dan 4: 7-8, 19, Daniel 5:17, Dan 7:2, 16, 19. Dan 8:15, 19.
A man for others. Dan 2:19. Become an evangelist. Petition God for others. Don’t be selfish.
PRAYERS: Mark 9:23 , Mark 11:22-23
Mark 9:23 (KJV)
“Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things [are] possible to him that believeth.”
Mark 11:22-23 (KJV)
And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Thank you for the Word o Lord.
Father I ask my heavens to open, I receive fresh fire of the Holy Ghost for excellence.
Every power working mediocrity into my destiny is hereby judged by fire.
Let the spirit of revelation come upon me now.
I receive the spirit of boldness and sound mind
I judge every confusion
I come out of every evil pronouncement limiting me.
Father, please show me deep things. What pertains to my welfare shall not be hidden from me.
