‘I can sing  ten hours non-stop’

An Akure-based gospel artiste, Ayobamidele Taiwo, popularly known as AY Gold, has said that he can sing for at least ten hours without stopping and he would not be tired.

The Juju Highlife artiste said this while speaking with Friday Extravaganza, he speaks about his life and his music career.

According to him, he has been to 15 states in Nigeria since he has been singing professionally.

The artiste who has been singing professionally since ten years ago, said that he has been able to release one album which is selling fast.

In his words, the issue of piracy in the music industry, is a very big problem in the country, saying they did not allow them to enjoy what they have laboured for.

The Akure indigene musician, said that his love for music has been his joy whenever he is ministering any time he was invited to perform.

The 35-year-old artiste said that since he had been singing, lack of money has been a big challenge to him.

“At the initial stage of my music career, my parents did not support me because they don’t like me being a musician but now they are in full support of it.

“God has been faithful to me, I have been able to release one album tilted “New song” ( Orin tuntun).

“My ambition is to become a great gospel artiste in life and for my name to become households name,” he submitted.

A graduate from Niger State Polytechnic , he has said that he can sing for at least ten hours without stopping and he would not be tired.

AY Gold said that his music is to educate both old and young about the way of life.

He enjoyed upcoming artistes to be focused, keep on giving their best and should not be discouraged.
