Gospel artiste, Alozie Precious, popularly known as Chizoba Sufficient, has opened up on her life ambition, noting that it’s her career first before any relationship.
The artiste said her focus is different from others, saying that is why she does not follow the crowd.
In an interview with Friday Extravaganza, she said with the help of God and men, life as a musician has been beautiful.
Precious who noted that the disposition of people to upcoming artistes is discouraging and people believe they are new to the world, “but all the same it has been good.”
According to her, “Music is worth the sacrifices I have made for it. Music has made me sit and socialise with great people beyond my imagination.
“It was not easy for me at the onset. There was no sponsor but I still hope that one day, I will get to the level I desire.
“Our location too affects us, I mean living in a place where older and famous music ministers are, there are a lot of competition. It looks like the survival of the fittest, but we that know where we are headed will not look at the pressure, one day we will be at the top.
Chizoba stated that any artiste who take music as a profession should be able to meet with people’s expectations, meeting people at the point of their needs through the lyrics and the songs.
She noted that the songs of yesteryears were songs that are evergreen, so also the music of today, but there is much transformation in terms of lyrics, understanding, genre and so on.
According to her “My aim is to preach to the world and be able to win souls for God through music, not for the money or fame but for the work of my father”.
