One of the gospel artistes in Okitipupa, Evangelist Seun Omosuyi, popularly known as Eyinjuolodumare, has said that singing is her divine calling and she is mandated to sing and praise God through her music.

The artiste noted that the greatest joy she has was that music has helped her to discover her heartthrob.

In this interview with Friday Extravaganza, Eyinjuolodumare, discussed the ecstasy launching her debut album, her music background, career challenges, family and other things she does, if she is not singing.

Omosuyi, a native of Idepe in Okitipupa, a chorister, and a member of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, (RCCG), on the 1st of December, 2019, launched her debut album, titled “Amin: Oti ri be”, a collection of prophetic and prayerful renditions compiled by her, and her Royal Voice Gospel band.

According to her, “Amin; O ti ri be” came after 10 years of singing in a choir. And the album is an assurance to every prayer points, and promises God has spoken concerning everyone, and believing that God would raise a helper through the launch of her album.

Eyinjuolodumare noted that her stage name prophetically came from one of her fans who looked at her after hearing some of her testimonies and life experiences.

According to her, singing is her divine calling and she is mandated to sing and praise God. She says “God expects us to do because he said it in his words that if we fail to praise him that he will raise up stones and it doesn’t cost him a second to do it and I don’t want to be replaced by stones so I have to praise him.

Just like every other musician, Eyinjuolodumare’s music career is not void of challenges. She revealed that some members of her bands who were predominately members of the church had changed environment due to schooling, and sometimes having problem with her instrumentalists. Yet despite these and many more challenges, Omosuyi said that she has gained mastery in handling any issue that may arise because, challenges are practically normal if one must succeed in doing anything in life.

She mentioned how she combines music with her responsibilities. The mother of three, emphasized that she has always received the support of her husband, Mr. Gbenga Omosuyi, who she described as a God fearing man. She says “He is a loving man.

According to her, “at times I would go to Lagos for some days, especially towards the preparation for the album. He takes care of the kids, he does not complain. Music is easy because I found my God given husband.”

Eyinjuolodumare noted that her music career started about 19-years ago, and she believes in the next five years by the grace of god, she would be touring the world both internationally and domestically singing to the glory of God.

Besides singing, Lady Evangelist Omosuyi is a teacher. “I am a teacher, teaching is my profession, but singing is God’s calling,” she said.
