An upcoming gospel artiste, Abimbola Akinbulumo with the stage name BB GOLD in an interview with Friday Extravaganza explained why she derives joy in using reggae and alujo to worship God.

Akinbulumo, a native of Ondo town said singing and praising God is her calling.

The Nigeria born musician said she is the last born of her family and also a student of Medical Laboratory Technology at Ondo State School of Health Technology, Akure.

She said she lost her mother at the tender age of three and since then, she has been staying with her mother’s younger sister who is taking care of her needs.

When asked about her father,” l can’t say I have a father because he is not performing any fatherly role ever since I lost my mother”.

Right from the beginning of my life, I love praising God and worshipping His Holy name because I always feel excited whenever I am exalting His name and besides, it’s what I am called for and my purpose.

I started my music career in 2020, when I joined the church choir. This year, 2022, I produced a single titled “IYIN”.

“I discovered I can sing when God spoke to me in my dreams concerning my purpose, and since then, my wish is to proclaim the name of God to the world.

“My mode of singing is reggae, alujo and most times worship songs.

“I urge upcoming artistes like me to wait unto the Lord and put God first in whatever they may be doing and let God show them the way to follow.”
