Ibadan tragedy: Adeleke condoles with Oyo govt, deceased’s families

The Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has commiserated with his Oyo State counterpart, Engr. Seyi Makinde, over the tragic loss of lives in a stampede at a funfair event in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
Governor Adeleke described the incident as deeply traumatic.
The Governor conveyed his heartfelt condolences through a statement by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed.
He expressed heartfelt sympathy on behalf of the Government and the People of Osun to those who lost loved ones in the unfortunate tragedy.
His words: “I stand with the Government and the People of Oyo State in overcoming this difficult moment.”
The Governor prayed for the quick recovery of all those injured and receiving medical attention in different healthcare facilities, noting that the monumental tragedy was a significant loss not only to the people of Oyo but to humanity as a whole.
“I’m truly devastated about the colossal loss of lives at a funfair event in Ibadan this Wednesday. The tragic incident was unimaginable, and as a Government, I extend my condolences to my Brother-Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, the People of Oyo State, particularly those who lost loved ones in the stampede,” Governor Adeleke was quoted as saying in a condolence message.
