Ibuji residents laud Akeredolu on road construction

Following the construction of 8.1kilometres lgbara-Oke -lbuji-Ondo /Ekiti State boundary road, the Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has received commendations from the residents of lbuji community for the successful construction of the road.

Residents of the community described the construction of the asphalt overlay road as fulfilment of the governor’s campaign promise to the people of lgbara-Oke, particularly lbuji community.

They gave the commendation during an inspection tour of the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Mr. Bamidele Oleyelogun to the road project.

Speaking with journalists, a resident of lbuji community and Egbedi of lgbara-Oke, Chief Gabriel Fajemilusi, described the road construction as a unique project to the people of the area, saying that the giant strides of the Akeredolu-led administration in the state are exceptional.

The road, which was noted as death trap before it was constructed by the present government, he said is now motorable as travellers spend few minutes on their journeys to the neighbouring Ekiti and Osun States.

Also, a resident, Mrs. Ganiyat Busari, appreciated the governor for his various people oriented projects in the area which included the newly constructed lbuji road.

On his part, Mr. Dauda Lateef, said the economic situations of lbuji and lfedore local government in general have improved significantly as farmers can now transport their farm products to town for transaction.

A resident in the community, Mr, Abdulkaleel Ata, described the newly constructed road as a comfort and answer to the long request by the people of lgbara-Oke from the previous administrations.

Also, Mr. Dare Ajayi and Adebiyi Kamarudeen, from the community thanked the governor for fulfilling his campaign promise and described him as a trustworthy leader for paying urgent attention to the need of people of lbuji community.

They, however, appreciated the governor for constructing the road and pledged their supports for his administration and also to the State Speaker of the House of Assembly, Mr Bamidele Oleyelogun to take the state to greater height.

Speaking with journalists,ODHA Speaker, Mr. Oleyelogun, commended the governor for fulfilling his campaign promise to the people of the state, particularly lfedore local government.

The speaker described the road project as a good legacy that will remain indelible in the history of the state.

He assured that necessary action would be taken to avoid untimely death as a result of over speeding by motorists plying the road.

Oleyelogun added that the governor’s people-oriented programmes in agriculture, education and health sectors and infrastructural development will not be forgotten and the will speak volume for him in future elections in the state.
