ICMC inducts Olowo Fellow

The Olowo of Owo, Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III has been inducted as a Fellow of the prestigious INSTITUTE OF CHARTERED MEDIATORS AND CONCILIATORS (ICMC).
This is coming less than two weeks of the Olowo bagging an Award of Excellence on Humanitarian Services from a renowned Akure based Musical Group D- Emerald.
The induction ceremony which took place at the Nigerian Bar Association House in Abuja, also had other monarchs spread across Yoruba land as inductees.
The Royal guests at the occasion included; Oba Solagbade Tijani Osokowu, Ogunbo-III, the Alado of Ado,Sagamu,Ogun State, Oba Jamiu Olalekan Onosipe,Onigode of Igode, Oba Adewale Osiberu, Elepe of Epe,Sagamu and Oba Adeleke Adelekan,Alaperu of Iperu-Remo, Ogun State.
The Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators(ICMC) which was established in 1999, is the professional body of practitioners with the mandate to regulate the Practice of Mediation,train prospective candidates and encourage institutions and organizations to employ Mediation and Conciliation as the primary means of addressing disputes.
This year’s 2020 African Mediation Conference and Annual General Meeting of the institute where the induction ceremony formed a major event, which was with the theme: Transnational Commercial Mediation: Leveraging Options And Intersections in Africa had Chief Bayo Ojo, SAN, a leading light in arbitration as Keynote Speaker.
