The Idanre Local Government council has lauded the All Progressives Congress (APC) led-government in Ondo State under Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, for his visionary leadership quality that have enhanced rural development in the state.
The Council Chairman, Mr. Biyi Ayinuola who gave the commendation during the official presentation of cheques to Kajola Ododin and Adaja communities by the Ondo State Community and Social Development Agency (ODCSDA), promised to continue to support the governor to ensure more dividends of democracy in the town.
He appreciated the agency for the gesture noting that the Akeredolu led administration since assumption of office has been working assiduously to improve the living standard of the people in the rural areas.
Ayinuola also commended the governor for his transparency and good governance which has contributed to the successes recorded by the agency in approving projects.
Also speaking at the event, former Chief of Staff to Ondo State Governor, Dr. Kola Ademujimi expressed happiness for witnessing another round of community development projects as a son of the soil.
“There is virtually no town in Idanre that I have not contributed my quota as per development so I want to appeal to sons and daughters of this kingdom to come home and do the same. I want to thank the agency in a special way for its support at all times”.
Also in Igbekebo, the Odogun of Igbekebo, Oba Bamidele Simon Dabo appreciated the governor and his deputy for their developmental drive and heartfelt policies that have tremendously improved the lives of the citizens.
Oba Dabo also thanked God for His mercies ever since he became the king “I cannot but appreciate our founding fathers for their legacies that have kept us together”.
He said the project approved for his kingdom will develop the cassava farmers and improve their products promising to monitor the project until it is completed and put to use.
He called on government through the agency to assist in the area of youth ICT development center to engage the youths productively.
According to ODCSDA General Manager, Mr. Bosun Ogundipe, “The government has done a lot in the area of poverty reduction in the state to improve the living standard of the people, it is our responsibility as citizens to grab the opportunity.
“I want to advise you to support the programme and work towards achieving success in order to attract more dividends of good governance. We will continue to supervise the projects until it is completed”.
Earlier, the agency’s Operation Manager, Mr. Olumide Igbaoola, advised the people to always behave well and support each other to meet the target.
He said cooperation and openness are very important in an organization to further develop its establishment. “These projects have been approved and money have been given to start the first phase in all these areas”.
The agency approved rural electrification for both Kajola Ododin and Adaja communities of Idanre local government. Construction of mini cassava industry while acquisition of two tricycles were approved for Oluwanisola Group, Igbekebo.
Construction of skills training centre was also approved for Prosperity Group, Igbokoda to engage them.
