No fewer than 1,000 youths and women have began training with the International Food for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
The project under the Livelihood Improvement Family Enterprise- Niger Delta (LIFE-ND) in conjunction with Ondo State Government.
Declaring the training open, the State Commissioner for Agriculture, Mr Olayato Aribo while congratulating the beneficiaries, admonished them to consider themselves lucky to be part of the life impacting programme which had produced successful agric-enterprenuuers.
Aribo who said he never had such an opportunity at a time he really needed it, noted that those desirous to become rich and successful among the trainees must take the exercise serious to also become successful agric-enterprenuers .
According to him, the programme is such that does not only provide them with ideas but the needed knowledge and kits to be successful.
The State Project Coordinator, IFAD, Prince Olawale Ademola said the 1,000 beneficiaries will be trained and equipped.
He added that mentorship has been put in place to ensure their success at the end of the training.
Ademola said they will be equipped with between N1 million to N1.6million to help grow their individual business.
Some of the beneficiaries while appreciating IFAD for coming up with the project, assured of their readiness to put in their best to become successful.
