The people of Ifedore Local Government area of Ondo State have promised to support the  re-election bid of the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Bamidele Oleyelogun, in the coming general elections.

All the leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the local government equally pledged their unalloyed support for the re-election of president Muhammadu Buhari and all other APC candidates in the February and March 2019 polls.

To this end, the Speaker has inaugurated a 50-member campaign team to work for his re-election back into the Assembly in the coming elections.

At the inauguration ceremony held at Igbara-Oke, the headquarters of Ifedore Local Government Area the Speaker,  named a former Speaker of the House, Mr. Ayo Agbonmuserin as campaign Chairman and the incumbent Caretaker Chairman of Ifedore Local Government Area, Alex Oladimeji as Campaign Director General.

He also named the Special Adviser to the Governor on Transportation, Tobi Ogunleye as Directorate of Strategy and Planning while a physically challenged, Bamisile Mutiu would serve as Directorate of Special People. Akinloye Bolarinde and Tuyi Agboola were named Directorate of Media and Publicity as well as the General Secretary respectively.

Inaugurating the campaign committee, Oleyelogun charged them to work assiduously and in unity in order to achieve landslide victory for him, President Muhammadu Buhari and other APC candidates in the coming polls.

He disclosed that members of the campaign committee were selected across the 10 political wards in  Ifedore, all groups and associations including the physically challenged represented.

The Speaker expressed confidence in the ability and capability of the campaign team to ensure overwhelming victory for him and APC as a party in the general elections.

“I have told the committee to work assiduously for the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari come February presidential election, and all other candidates of our great party, APC”, he said.

Oleyelogun reminded the people of the constituency of the importance of his re-election going by the benefits Ifedore Local Government will continue to enjoy from the position as number three citizen in the state.

In his acceptance speech, Chairman of the campaign team, Rt. Hon. Ayo Agbonmuserin thanked the Speaker for the responsibility given to them and promised to work assiduously for his re-election and that of the President Muhammadu Buhari and other APC candidates. He said the team would embark on massive grass roots mobilisation of voters to ensure overwhelming victory at the polls.

He added that Oleyelogun should consider himself lucky to have such high-power campaign team on his side which, he noted,  was an indication that the speaker is widely accepted by the generality of the people in the constituency.

Agbonmuserin stressed that Oleyelogun’s re-election would add more values to the people and the development of the Local Government. According to him, development of Ifedore Local Government should be the priority of all.
