Flood victims of Igbobini and Ilu Agbo communities in Ese Odo Local Government area of Ondo state have received relief materials from the Chairman, Ese-Odo Local Government, Mrs. Folawe Sipasi-Aluko.
The victims who are taking refuge at the RCM Primary School, Ilu Agbo following the two days heavy downpour in the area, received food items like bags of pupuru, Garri, and rice.

Other items are: Tomato paste, bags of water, 30 litres of groundnut oil, and others.
Mrs. Aluko appreciated the commissioner for Environment, Mr. Sunday Akinwalire who came on an assessment tour to the flooded area, and for his timely intervention to assess and listen to the plights of the victims.


Earlier, the commissioner who was shocked at the level of damage done to the two communities by the ocean surge, assured the victims that their plights would be conveyed to Mr. Governor and appropriate authorities.
Akinwalire advised residents to be mindful of environmental and climate changes in order to prevent further occurrences.

Oba Raphael Oyedele Peti 1, the Olu of Igbobini on behalf of the community thanked Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, for his good gesture towards Igbobini and its environment.
He equally appealed to well-meaning Nigerians and authorities concerned to help the homeless and displaced people in the affected communities.
