IGP charges retirees, as Ondo CP bows out

Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun has advised retired officers to use their wealth of experience to fulfill their obligation to the nation after retirement.

Egbetokun gave the advice at the valedictory service for the retired Commissioner of Police, Ondo State Command, Taiwo Jesubiyi.

The IGP who was represented by Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Zone 17 comprising Ondo and Ekiti States, Ebong Ebong, appreciated God Almighty for the good health of outgone CP Taiwo Jesubiyi.

He advised the retired CP not to relent on his obligation to Nigeria, by using his wealth of knowledge and experience to ensure there is security as people goes about their day to day business

The police boss implored Nigerians to put in their best to ensure ‘our environment’ is peaceful and normal for business, to assist the growth of the economy.

He also described the CP as a very gentle officer who knows his onions.

In his remark, the Ondo State Commissioner for Agriculture, Olatato Aribo stated that though the CP’s stay was brief, he recorded some renovations at the officers mess during his time.

He thanked God for the life of Jesubiyi and prayed God to be with him always.

Also, Chairman, Police Community Relations Committee Ariyo Blessing said Jesubiyi is a friend of the PCRC and a highly reliable and responsible officer.

Earlier, CP Jesubiyi appreciated the IGP for enabling his assignment in the state and equally appreciated the State Government for ensuring he carried out his assignment smoothly.

He thanked other security agencies in the state for working together with him during his service to the state.

While appreciating the men and officers of the command, he advised that they should not relent on any assignment given to them.
