The Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has promised to table the yearnings and aspirations of the Ilaje people to the Governor at all times.
He made the promise at weekend during a special inauguration feast held at William’s Place, Event Centre, Igbokoda, in Ilaje Local Government area of the state.
This was the first visit of Aiyedatiwa to his home Local Government after his inauguration on February 24.
The deputy governor, who was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Oluwaseun appreciated Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, for picking him amongst equals to become his deputy.
He said; “a lot of us are qualified, even some can be considered more qualified but I received mercy. I owe Mr Governor 100 percent appreciation, he is a true democrat in spirit and action.”
He thanked the APC leaders, members and all ethnic groups residing in Ilaje, on behalf of the governor for their stern support during the electioneering campaign in 2020 and for living in peace and harmony with the Ilajes.
“My commitment and administration will bring unshakable and undivided party, while both old and young will receive the dividends of democracy”. He said.
The event had in attendance, the Ilaje Local Government Chairman Mr Goke Jatuwase and his Vice, Mr. Dickson Obele, the Council APC Chairman, Mr. Raphael Adegboye, Mr. Taye Fasua (former SDP Gubernatorial Candidate) and newly sworn-in councilors among others.
