All Progressives Congress (APC) Leaders in Ilaje Local government area of Ondo State have commended Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for choosing one of them as running mate in the forthcoming October 10, gubernatorial election.
This was disclosed at a meeting held at Igbokoda in Ilaje local government.
The gathering brought together all the party’s political gladiators in the local government.
The leaders unanimously vowed to deliver massive votes for APC in October 10.
The local government party Chairman, Mr Raphael Bosun Adegboye, therefore called for regular meetings and supports from all the stakeholders in order to win the election massively for the party.
On his part, Dr Taye Malumi said it was praiseworthy that Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu chose an Ilaje son as his running mate.
He said; “choosing Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa as the Deputy Governor candidate is a right step in the right direction. This is a development that is very pleasant to us all, and now is the time to appreciate Arakunrin by voting massively for the party comes October 10.
Chief Olusola Oke, SAN, said “October 10 is about the future of Ondo South Senatorial District particularly Ilaje nation, if we miss this opportunity, it will be suicidal for our local government in particular”.
“To us in Ilaje, the election is for our freedom, whether Ilaje can indeed be governor of this State after Akeredolu, so let’s appreciate Governor Akeredolu by voting massively for APC in October 10,” he said.
In his own goodwill message, the Deputy Governor candidate, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa thanked Akeredolu for deeming him fit to made him his running mate.
He applauded the massive turnout of APC leaders at the meeting, saying a vote for APC is much more nearer for Ondo South Senatoral District to be governor after Akeredolu.
“In October 10 gubernatorial election, we dare not take chances with our votes,” Aiyedatiwa said.
He therefore charged the party leaders to embark on full integration of all APC members with sincerity of purpose.
“Let’s enlarge our coast to incorporate more members for the task ahead and let’s throw all we have that is legally allowed to win October 10 Gubernatorial Election for APC” , he said.
