The people of Ilaje communities have reiterated their continuous support for the government of Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu ( SAN) and All Progressives Congress (APC ) government at all levels.

The assurance was re-echoed during the inspection tour of Ilaje communities by the State Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Funsho Esan  and the Ilaje local government Chairman, Hon. Aworetan Fayowole.

The Commissioner expressed his satisfaction at the turn out of the people during the just concluded Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) Exercise which he described as historic despite their difficult terrain.

He however assured the communities of the state government’s determination to transform towns and villages in the state to commercial cities through infrastructural and human development.

It will be recalled that Ondo state had earlier declared last Thursday as a work free day to enable its citizens who fall within the voting age to participate in the just concluded Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) exercise.

In his own remarks, the local government Chairman, Hon. Aworetan Fayowole commended the people for coming out en-masse  to register during the CVR exercise.

Fayowole described the CVR exercise as part of their civic responsibilities which will not only be useful for them to choose their representatives but will help the government to plan and initiate projects for the citizens.

While speaking with our correspondent, Prophet Ohunade Ajimohun , a community leader at Abeokun – Ipin, one of the communities visited expressed joy and happiness at the visit which he said has given them the opportunity to interact with the government and to express their feelings.
