Ilaje LG boss charges health workers on dedication, commitment
Health workers have been urged to be more dedicated and committed to their duties in order to enhance the safety of lives.
The chairman of Ilaje Local Government, Hon. Amona Maurice Oripenaye, made this call during an unscheduled visit to some hospitals in Ilaje Local Government area.
Oripenaye, while commending the health workers for their service to humanity, admonished them to be more proactive in their line of duty.
He said, “the purpose of this unscheduled visit is to ascertain the availability of health workers at their workplaces and to understand the health challenges confronting our people through their medical records, so that we can take positive steps to address them.
“This visit is a deliberate effort to ensure the availability of workers at their duty posts and to identify our people’s health challenges.
“Health is wealth; therefore, our health workers must make every effort to be available at their workplaces and improve the health conditions of patients in our hospitals.
He affirmed that his administration would enhance the safety of lives and improve the working conditions of health workers.
“A free medical outreach programme will soon take place in Igbokoda, so get prepared,” he disclosed.
