Ilaje LG chair distributes official cars, urges staff commitment

The Chairman, Ilaje local government area of Ondo State, Mr Maurice Oripenaiye, has charges career officers in the council to be more deligent and dutiful in their respective offices.

Oripenaiye, make the remark at the weekend in Igbokoda, during the presentation and official commissioning of six new branded Toyota Corolla 2013-model car purchased by the Ondo State Government for the principal and career officers of the local government.

He admonished the workers to shun lateness to work and be deligent in the duties, noted that the only way they could replicate the gesture of all efforts of the present administration in Ondo State is to more deligent in their work.

The council boss lamented that on his assumption of office as the chairman of the local government, the council was left with no official vehicle to run administrative works of the local government, but assured that Governor Aiyedatiwa will continue to embark on programmes and policy that will make life more bearable for the workers.

He explained that the purchasing of the official vehicle is one of the promise made by the Governor in ensuring that officials and career officers serve the people diligently.

Describing the gesture as a milestone in the history of the local government, the council boss explained that the vehicle would go a long way in enhancing deligency and more professionalism at work.

He urged the people of the area to continue to support Governor Aiyedatiwa and ensure the success of his administration, promised that the Governor will continue to embark on good policy that will change the virtue of Ondo State.

The council chairman urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the vehicle and assume the purpose in which the vehicle was purchased is achieved.

In his remarks at the ocassion, the Amapetu of Main, Oba Olusegun William Akinyomi, commended the Governor for the gesture and tasked the benefiaries to make judicious use of the vehicles.

The highpoint of the brief ceremony held the local government headquarters Igbokoda was the allocations and presentations of the car to the beneficiaries amidst singing and dancing.
