Ilaje NULGE inaugurates new executive officers

Members of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Ilaje Local Government area branch of Ondo State, have elected and inaugurated new executive officers to steer the affairs of the union for the next three years.
The newly elected officers included Comrade Dairo Olamiposi as Chairman, Comrade Erewumi Toluwalase as Vice Chairman, Comrade Ife Adeji as Secretary, and Comrade Olasimbo Ikuepenikan as Assistant Secretary.
Others are Comrade Babalola Tomoloju, Treasurer; Comrade Oluwaseyi Olugboja, Auditor; and Comrade Yinuola Aganmuyi, who will represent the Women’s Wing of the union.
Also elected were Comrade Olugbenga Omosebi, representing Young Workers, and Comrade Deborah Mango, who was appointed as a Trustee, among others.
While inaugurating the new officers, the Ondo State NULGE President, Comrade Fredrick Akinrinlola, commended members and stakeholders for ensuring a smooth and peaceful transition, describing it as the first of its kind in the union’s history within Ilaje Local Government.
He lauded the unity and professionalism exhibited throughout the process and urged the newly elected executives to remain united and use their collective experience to foster development and progress within the union.
In his welcome address, the Chairman of Ilaje Local Government, Mr Maurice Oripenaye, congratulated the union for conducting the election with a commendable spirit of sportsmanship. He also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to fostering a conducive and productive work environment.
Oripenaye highlighted some of the developmental projects undertaken by his administration and called on the staff to reciprocate the government’s efforts through greater dedication to duty.
In her acceptance speech, Comrade Dairo Olamiposi, the newly elected chairman, pledged to operate an open-door policy and run a people-centred administration. She called for unity among union members and appealed to former contestants to support the new leadership in advancing the union’s goals.
The inauguration ceremony, held at the Civic Centre in Igbokoda, was attended by local government staff, state union executives, political figures, friends, and family members of the new officers.
