For allegedly issuing  illegal appointment letters to the newly recruited applicants that were employed by the immediate past Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, the Permanent Secretary Office of Establishments and Training, Mr. Olusesan Alabi has been sacked.

According to a statement signed by  the Chief Press Secretary (CPS)  to the governor, Mr. Yinka Oyebode, said Governor Kayode Fayemi, has ordered Alabi to hand over to the most senior officer in the Office of Establishments and Training in the civil service.

The statement read in parts: ” The Governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi has approved the immediate retirement of the Permanent Secretary, Office of Establishments and Training, in the State’s Civil Service, Mr Olusesan Alabi, Mr Alabi is to hand over to the most senior officer in the office”

Similarly, a source close to the government told our correspondent that ” Alabi was sacked for alleged insubordination and disobedience of lawful directive. He reportedly incurred the Governor’s wrath for allegedly distributing appointment letters to candidates  recruited by former Governor Ayo Fayose in the twilight of his administration”

The source said the Governor was left with no other option than to retire Alabi from service for issuing letter of appointments to applicants recruited after loosing the last governorship election.
