I’m committed to do more — Akeredolu

Ondo state Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, said his administration is fully ready and committed to executing more developmental projects aimed at bringing good governance to the doorsteps of the citizens.
Governor Akeredolu disclosed this yesterday while receiving members of different groups who paid him separate courtesy visits at the Cocoa Conference of the Governor’s Office, Akure.
The groups included Executives of National Traders and Market Leaders Councils of Nigeria; Union of Tipper and Quarry Employers of Nigeria, Ondo state council and Idoma Community Welfare Association in Ondo state.
At the separate visits, the three groups declared their unalloyed support for Governor Akeredolu’s second term bid, saying that the Governor has done a lot to improve social and economic activities in the state.
The groups particularly hinged their decisions to support Governor’s re-election on unprecedented development recorded in the areas of road construction, education, agriculture, improved welfare of workers, conducive environment for business activities, among several others.
According to them, if reelected, Governor Akeredolu would do more to further bring dividends of good governance to the people of the state.
Leaders of National Traders and Market Leaders Councils of Nigeria, Chief Princess Aroloye Adenike, and that of Idoma Community Welfare Association, Chief Linus Abbah respectively, described the state Governor as Mr ‘Talk and Do’ who has continued to fulfil his promises to the people.
Princess Adenike commended the Governor for the ongoing construction of the dual-carriage road to Idanre, saying this has improved social and economic activities of the people of the town and all adjoining communities.
In his remarks, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, who appreciated the groups for their support, explained that what the state needed now is continuity of good governance which his administration has been providing since the past three and a half years.
He further encouraged the group to preach the gospel of his reelection to all their friends, relatives and members of their families across the state, noting that all hands must be on deck for the development of the state.
Governor Akeredolu added that his re-election would enable him do more for the people and consolidate his landmark achievements in all sectors.
Also present at the event are state chairman of the APC,Ade Adetimehin, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Chief Olugbenga Ale, and the Secretary to the State Government, Temitayo Oluwatuyi.
