A fast rising Juju musician, Ebenezer Soleye with the stage name, Omega Melody, a native of Ayetoro, Yewa North, Ogun state, has described his music as a gift from God. He stated this in an interview with Friday Extravaganza. Excerpts:

How do you get your inspiration?

I usually get inspired to write my songs through the challenges I face, as well as my mood.

How do you combine music with other things?

“I am a hard working somebody, I take my music ministry very seriously, as it is my major job. I believe I do a great job whenever it comes to music, as I always combine my talent with research and new knowledge.

What are your strength as a juju singer?

“My strength include, my boldness when on stage, my courage despite all the challenges faced so far. I do not break down or give up. I am a goal-getter, and when I set out to achieve something, I always ensure to get it done.

What is the best song you have released?

“The best song I have ever released is “Ember Month”. The reason this song is my best song is that, I have gotten so many positive feedback from the song. My fans really love the song and I believe it is evergreen.

What got you into music?

“Music is my passion. My gift combined with my interest in music, I can say it is my calling. I was made for music, and music is what I do. As we all know, talent hits harder than anything else can hit. I am a genius when it comes to music, and that is what I pursue as my career.

How do you think you can improve on your career as a musician?

“Learning never ends, and no man is an island of knowledge. I believe you have to learn more in order to improve yourself, as well as to stay in trend. Whenever I hear about the difficulties and challenges my leaders and mentors have passed through and  overcome, and have even become great in their career paths, I am always motivated. I also believe that with a lot of confidence, practice, modesty, hard work, patience, and creativity, I will be able to achieve so much and also get to the peak of my career.

What is your message to your fans?

” I will like to appreciate my fans for their love and support. Please keep supporting and praying for me, without you, I am nothing.

Also my advice for youths like me is that, they should not give space to social media pressures, they should believe  in God and themselves because, a lot of what we read on social media, are not real, build yourself with love, and follow your dream,” he said.
