‘I’m into hype to assist my mother’

An Akure born Hype man, Olajide Marcel Oluwasegun, popularly known as Marcelino has disclosed that he got involved in hyping in order to help his mother who raised them as a widow at 20 years old and teach people about life.
The Hypeman who disclosed this in an interview with Friday Extravaganza narrated how he started his career as a comedian, dancer, and singer.
He noted that he started his career in 2012 at 20.
He noted that he encountered a lot of challenges at the early stage of his career, saying most time, he would trek a long distance to events he was invited for presentation and after the show, he added that they would tell him there was no money but that food was surplus.
He blessed God for the gift and noted that God has been helping him.
He noted that he want to take hype to the world, saying that people don’t appreciate them enough.
He mentioned some of his mentors to include Emcee Lokko, saying he like to follow his steps.
While commenting on his lifestyle he said “I have a woman in my life that I like to hookup with in future”.
According to him, his mother and siblings play a very significant role before he could attain his goal.
He stated how he handles his female fans because they bring fame and identity than male fans.
In his words ” I have dropped four mixtape and I am now working on volume five.
He advised his colleagues and upcoming artistes not to relent in their endeavours and be focused.
