Civil servants have been admonished to always be truthful in whatever they  do.

Regional Overseer of Deeper Life Bible Church, Akure North, Pastor Ola Ogunniyi, gave the admonition in his message at the ‘Pen Down’ ceremony of Pastor Gabriel Obademi

Obademi retired as Director of Livestock Service, Ondo State Ministry of Agriculture

The cleric asked everyone at the event to imbibe good character, which he said was important in human’s life.

He noted that there was a time for everything, adding that nothing was permanent except God while charging everyone to follow Christ.

According to him, “we are going to give account of our stewardship to God,” he said.

Commissioner for Agriculture and Forestry, Mr. Olayato Aribo, who spoke through the SSA to Mr. Governor on Agric and Agrobusiness, Pastor Akin Olootu described the celebrant as an asset to the state, because of his wealth of knowledge in the livestock sector of the Agriculture chain, stressing that he was a blessing to the sector.

He added that the celebrant was highly dedicated and vibrant who understands Livestock management properly.

The Commissioner said the system would still continue to work with him because of his vast experience and prayed that God would give him good health to enjoy his retirement peacefully.

Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary,  Mr. Sunday Akintomide described the retired director as a colleague and friend because they had been coming for long and they belong to the Agric family, adding  that the celebrant did not joke with his job, describing him as a workerholic and a good team leader.

While appreciating the honour done him, Pastor Gabriel Obademi thanked the management and the entire staff of the ministry, particularly the Agric family for giving him a befitting Pen Down ceremony which was the first to be done for retired Director of Livestock Service since the department was created.

He advised that people should go into agriculture and laid emphasis on Livestock rearing, which he said was lucrative and easy to manage.
