Immigration graduates 87 officers in Ondo

The Comptroller of the Nigeria Immigration Service, (NIS), Ondo state Command, Mr Kayode Ademola Afolabi has advised newly inductees to protect the sanctity of the Nigerian constitution and avoid compromise in the course of their duty.

He gave the admonition during the just concluded 2023/2024 Passing Out Parade of the 87 inductees at the command’s Headquarters yesterday in Akure, the State capital.

He enjoined them to obey the Immigration Act 2015, Immigration manual and protect the overall image of the service, adding that they must be diligent in their ways as they join the Immigration family.

“I want to congratulate each and everyone of you who have participated in the training for your brilliant choice of choosing the service and scaling the recruitment hurdle and for your perseverance throughout the training period which has shaped you into the officers and men the service can be proud of at anytime”, he stated.

The Comptroller further congratulated the provost for the Unit of the command, adding that it is a unity that has always been consistent during the training of bright minds for the command and service as a whole.

Also speaking, Commander of the Civil Defense, Engr Olatundu Olayinto expressed delight over the new inductees and congratulated the Service for the achievements and advised the new inductees to remember that it is a regimented service and that they should abide by what they are expected to do and must not do otherwise, praying that God will promote them as and due.

On his own, Controller of Federal Fire Service, Ondo state, ACF. Oje Olatunji admonished the new officers to be their brother’s keepers, remain focused and prayed that they will attain greater heights in their service to their fatherland.

The ceremony was attended by PCO Command (2IC) DC 1 Kehinde Oladapo Bayode; ECOWAS (ACI) Akinsehinwa Saka Adefaka, Anti Smuggling Unit; ACI Abiola Bose Obisesan; AC1 Adeshina Ayodele Adewumi; AC1 Christiana Adenike Jimb; Lumaa Uyangarga Binga among others.
