Implement Gov’s ‘REDEEMED’ Agenda, HoS charges PermSecs

The newly inaugurated Head of Service in Ondo State, Pastor Adeniran Adeyemo yesterday charged Permanent Secretaries in the state public service to intensify implementation of the year 2021 approved budget with a view to actualizing the repackaged second term programmes of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu tagged “REDEEMED”.
Adeyemo gave the charge during his maiden meeting with the Permanent Secretaries held at the Cocoa Conference Hall of the Governor’s office in Akure.
He tasked the Accounting 0fficers to take full responsibility of the activities in their various Ministries, Departments and Agencies now that most of the Commissioners and other Political Heads have not been appointed.
He advised them to seek the advice of critical stakeholders, retired and experienced technocrats to enhance success in their various MDAs, adding that they should lead by example, ensure punctuality and promptness in the activities of government for better service delivery to the people of the state.
Adeyemo enjoined them to work hard and cooperate with the administration of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu so that the people of the state would continue to enjoy dividends of democracy.
The Chief of Staff to the State Governor, Chief Olugbenga Ale, who also attended the meeting advised the Permanent Secretaries to make themselves reliable Accounting Officers who should engage in good record keeping of the activities and events in their MDAs that could assist the government in policy formulation and implementation.
He advised them to be confident and courageous in giving quality advice to the political heads of their MDAs for the success of Akeredolu’s administration.
