Improved infrastructure ’ll encourage talents -Prof. Adejuyigbe

A University don, professor Olusanya Adejuyigbe has called for urgent improvement of dilapidated structures at the indoor hall of the Ondo state sports complex in Akure .
Professor Adejuyigbe made the appeal in an interview with newsmen during the finals of a volleyball tournament organised for secondary schools.
The professors, of pediatric surgeon at OAU Teaching Hospital Ile-Ife while also calling for regular sporting activities among youths noted that an improved structures will encourage talents.
A national under 15 and Ondo State Volleyball Coach, Mr Adeniyi Adekalu said the clinic was organised for the purpose of grooming young and talented players from the grassroots.
He advised parents to encourage their children to take part in sports activities saying education and sports are siamese that has no negative effects to each other .
According to him, “the exceptional ones among them will join the team that will represent the state at the coming National Youth Games in Ilorin, Kwara state as well incorporate them into the national under 15 team”.
At the final of the event Command secondary school defeated Oyemekun Grammar School (OGSA) in the boys category while, Saint Louis Akure edged out Fiwasaye girls grammar schools to take the first position.
