Inauguration: Aiyedatiwa declares Monday public holiday, cancels sanitation movement restriction

Ondo State Governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has declared Monday, February 24, 2025, as a public holiday to allow residents to participate in the inauguration of his administration.

A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, said the work-free day would enable the people of the state to witness the swearing-in ceremony of Governor Aiyedatiwa and his deputy, Olayide Owolabi Adelami.

In a related development, the governor has directed the cancellation of the restriction of movement earlier scheduled for Saturday, February 22, 2025, during the monthly environmental sanitation exercise.

However, despite the lifting of the restriction, residents have been urged to ensure their surroundings are properly cleaned.
