Former State and Federal Commissioner, Prince Diran Iyantan, has congratulated Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on his inauguration as the seventh democratically elected governor of Ondo State, urging him to embrace transformative governance.

In a statement issued and made available to The Hope, Iyantan described Aiyedatiwa’s victory as historic, noting that he emerged victorious in all 18 local government areas and secured 202 out of 203 wards in the state.

According to him, the landslide victory underscores the overwhelming trust and confidence reposed in the governor by the people of Ondo State.

“The resounding mandate given to Governor Aiyedatiwa is not just a personal triumph but a call to action to fulfil the aspirations of our people. This is a moment to prioritise good governance, ensuring that the dividends of democracy reach every part of the state,” he said.

As Aiyedatiwa’s tenure commences on February 24, 2025, Iyantan urged him to redouble his efforts at ensuring that governance impacts all 203 wards of the state.

He also prayed for wisdom, strength, and divine guidance for the governor in steering the affairs of the state.

Iyantan, an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, reaffirmed his confidence in Aiyedatiwa’s ability to lead the state towards progress and development.
