Increase in pupils’ enrollment excites HMs

Pupils’ enrollment in the public primary schools across Ondo State has improved tremendously.
This is the submission of headteachers of schools visited at the resumption on Monday during the visit led by the Permanent Secretary, State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) Mr Dele Akinnagbe
The head teachers according to a statement by Bisi Agboola, Head Media of SUBEB emphasized that the various development in the public school environment attracted the pupils and their parents to bring their wards
Headteacher of St Stephen Primary School, Ijomu, Mrs Akinmutimi, SUBEB Model Primary School-Oke-Ogba,Mrs Bankole Mojisola and Mrs Ekpemogu Grace of Alagbaka Primary School, Akure affirmed the high attendance of pupils and their interest to be more regular in schools
The permanent Secretary, Mr Akinnagbe commended the Akeredolu led government for showing keen interest in the development of primary schools as foundation of education.
He lauded the recent mass recruitment of primary school teachers, construction and renovation being carried out to make the school environment more friendly.
He charged the teachers to justify government’s huge investment in education by giving premium priority to teaching.
