Independence Day: Ondo Speaker hopeful of greater Nigeria

As Nigeria marks her 64th Independence anniversary, Nigerians have been called upon to continually offer prayers for the country to emerge from her current challenges stronger, better, and greater.
In a statement on the occasion of the Independence Day celebration, the Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Chief Oladiji Olamide Adesanmi, commended the nation’s leaders who fought gallantly for the independence we all enjoy today.
While congratulating Nigerians on witnessing yet another round of celebrations, Chief Oladiji stressed the need to live in peace and harmony so that the current efforts of our leaders can yield the desired results.
The Speaker commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his ongoing reform agenda for the country, expressing hope that his efforts would yield positive results and that the country would be better for it.
Chief Oladiji equally commended Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for the prevailing peace in Ondo State, adding that the state is fortunate to have him at the helm.
He stressed that all hands must be on deck for peace to reign across the country, noting that only a peaceful atmosphere can trigger growth and development.
On the upcoming governorship election in Ondo State, slated for next month, Chief Oladiji urged stakeholders to abide by the rules of the game.
While wishing everyone a happy Independence Day celebration, the Speaker called for a moderate celebration in light of the prevailing economic challenges.
