Infrastructural devt :Education stakeholders laud Akeredolu-

The State Secretary of the Ondo State chapter of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Comrade Solomon Igbelowowa has lauded the state Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN) on the massive renovation of infrastructure in schools across the 18 local government areas of the state.

Igbelowowa who gave the commendation in an interview with The Hope averred that the renovation works which he described as excellent will make teaching and learning attractive.

He posited that the development has also brought about a conducive environment for both teachers and students in the state.

The NUT scribe however urged the state government to recruit more teachers to teach in schools.

“This is the area that requires urgent attention.We need to have more qualified and certified teachers in schools across the state in order to take education to its enviable height”,he maintained.

Also speaking with The Hope, the state chairman of the Parents Teachers Association (PTA), Alhaji Abimbola Omoloja commended Governor Akeredolu for his laudable achievement in the state’s education sector, especially the payment of teachers’ salary as and when due and the massive renovation of schools across the state.

“Almost 500 projects have been executed in all the 18 local government areas of the state and more are still expected”, Omoloja stressed.

He equally called on the state government to recruit more teachers in schools.
