Insecurity: Ondo begins registration of drivers, vehicles Monday

In its effort to curtail the rising security challenges in the state, Ondo State Government will on Monday begin registration of all drivers and commercial vehicles across the state.
The registration according to a statement by the state Ministry of Transport will last for three months while enforcement will follow immediately
Documents needed for registration by drivers are: valid drivers licence and two thousand naira while vehicle owners are to register with their valid registration papers and two thousand naira
The exercise will be held at the State Information Technology Agency jn Akure while those in other local governments will be held at the offices of the Ondo State Internal Revenue Service in each local government
The statement said that only taxis that are painted with approved colours of yellow and blue in Ondo State will be registered
It will also be recalled that the State Government recently directed house owners in the state to get their building approval before the end of April 2021.
Failure to comply with this directive will attract seal off of the houses and owners will be made to pay fine on the approval fee
