Interior Minister showcases Tinubu’s agenda for culture, as Aiyedatiwa preaches peace

The Minister of Interior, Dr. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo, has reiterated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to fostering culture and tourism in Nigeria.

Tunji-Ojo highlighted that the President rebranded the Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy (FMACTCE) to promote cultural inclusivity, celebrate Nigeria’s diverse heritage, and unlock economic opportunities within the creative industries.

Speaking on Saturday at the 100-year anniversary of the Okeagbe Community, the Minister also commended Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for his remarkable achievements in transforming the state’s fortunes.

He said, “The President has rebranded the Ministry of Creative Economy and Tourism, which has been living up to expectations. The FEC has also approved the creative industry initiatives.

“As I have often said, our President is dedicated to promoting culture and tourism. I congratulate the people of Okeagbe on 100 years of unification, harmony, and coexistence. We look forward to the next 100 years filled with bliss.

Meanwhile, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa had urged the people of Okeagbe community to continue to uphold peace.

Represented by the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Alhaji Rasheed Badmus, the Governor emphasised the importance of traditional rulers in showcasing and promoting their unique cultures.

“We are pleased with the peace that prevails across Ondo State. For instance, there is harmony from Ikare to Arigidi and Okeagbe, as well as other areas. This peace is essential to the state’s development.

“We have four traditional rulers in Okeagbe, and they are living in unity. We encourage them to continue in this spirit. The government of Ondo State values our traditional leaders.
