Irele LG APC lauds Aiyedatiwa on projects

Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Irele Local Government area of Ondo State have commended the state Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, for his various developmental projects across the state, especially in their local government.
The commendation was made during the Irele Local Government Stakeholders’ Unity Meeting held in Akure on Friday.
According to them, the Governor has impacted virtually every sector, noting that his contributions are being felt in the health, education, and agricultural sectors, among others.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman of Irele Local Government, Olajide Akinfe, appreciated the members, noting that the meeting was aimed at strengthening the party to ensure it remains focused on achieving success.
He noted that Irele LG performed excellently in the last governorship and local government elections, and stressed the need for unity among members.
In his goodwill message, a former Senator, Yele Omogunwa, applauded the appointment of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Health, Prof. Simidele Odimayo, calling for synergy among members to ensure progress in Irele.
In his address, the Convener and Special Adviser on Health, Prof. Simidele Odimayo, noted that the meeting was aimed at appreciating members for their support for Governor Aiyedatiwa, especially during the last elections. He stated that the government has embarked on several infrastructural projects across the state.
He explained that plans are underway to employ more health workers, saying, “In the next few days, some health workers will join the system to advance the cause of the people.”
He revealed that efforts are being made to establish a general hospital in Irele, stating that the government is committed to advancing development in the local government.
He stressed the need for unity and called for peaceful coexistence among members.
Speaking with The Hope, Odimayo appreciated members’ suggestions, noting that they are geared towards enhancing governance in the state.
According to him, members are grateful for the ongoing construction of the 6.5-kilometre road in Irele, and he called for the speedy completion of the project.
“They appreciate the Governor’s efforts in road construction, health, agriculture, and the education sector. They specifically commended him for the recruitment exercises for TESCOM and SUBEB and appealed for the inclusion of more indigenes of the local government, as they were shortchanged.”
The APC Chairman in Irele Local Government, Chief Zachariah Omoge, also commended the convener of the meeting, stating that the initiative was aimed at fostering development in Irele.
The Irele Woman Leader, Chief (Mrs) Titilola Omosowo, emphasised the need to prioritise the development of the local government over personal ambition, urging all members to embrace love and unity.
Former Irele council Chairman, Adewale Akintimehin, in his contribution, suggested regular meetings of elders and leaders, reiterating the benefits of cooperation among the people.
