The Special Adviser to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on Infrastructure, Lands and Housing, Engineer Abiola Ayorinde, has affirmed that the Ondo State Government is set to carry out critical intervention on the Irele/Sabomi/Igbotu road.

Ayorinde disclosed this during an inspection tour of ongoing road projects in Irele at the weekend.

Leading the technical assessment team, Engineer Olawoye was accompanied by Hon. Allen Oluwatoyin, the member representing Ese-Odo State Constituency in the Ondo State House of Assembly. He explained that the present administration under Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has concluded plans to commence massive road projects across the state.

Speaking with community leaders in Irele shortly after the inspection, Olawoye assured that the Irele/Sabomi/Igbotu road would be redesigned to meet modern standards and that construction work would begin soon.

He emphasised that the intervention aligns with Governor Aiyedatiwa’s directive to identify and rehabilitate critical roads across the state.

Olawoye reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to addressing infrastructural challenges across all regions.

Highlighting the economic importance of the project, he noted that the approximately 8-kilometre road, once reconstructed, would significantly boost connectivity and stimulate economic growth in the riverine areas.

He described the initiative as part of Governor Aiyedatiwa’s broader vision to drive inclusive development through strategic infrastructure expansion.

Olawoye assured residents that road construction would extend to other parts of the state, including rural communities.

He urged the people to continue supporting Governor Aiyedatiwa and his policies.
