It’s devil’s ‘work’, man tells court after stealing plasma TV

An Iwaro-Oka Magistrate Court has ordered the remand one Ayeromire Olaoluwa for allegedly stealing a plasma television valued at the sum of #150,000.

The police arraigned the defendant before Magistrate B. A Ikusika on a three-count charge bothering on felony and manners likely to cause breach of peace.

According to the prosecution, Olaoluwa stole one 26 inches Plasma Television valued at the sum of N150,000) only, property of one Aroniyo Olukayode.

The Prosecutor, Inspector Olasunkanmi Boboye explained that defendant entered into the dwelling house of one Aroniyo Olukayode to commit felony to wit stealing.

He added that the offence is contrary to and punishable under section 412 of the criminal code cap 37 vol.1 laws of Ondo State of Nigeria, 2006.

However, Olaoluwa who had no legal representation told the court that “it was the handiwork of the devil which led him to steal”.

In his ruling, Magistrate Ikusika ordered the remand of the Defendant and adjourned the case to March 5, 2025.
