Rapper Speed Darlington, born Darlington Okoye, has disclosed that he has been arrested 19 times and detained on five occasions.

In a freestyle video shared on social media, the musician reflected on his frequent brushes with the law, remarking that he often finds himself in trouble despite knowing better.

Within the video, Darlington rapped about his experiences, explicitly referencing his five detentions and 19 arrests.

His recent legal issues include two arrests in late 2024 following controversial comments regarding Burna Boy’s alleged ties with music executive Sean Combs.

Darlington was subsequently remanded at Kuje Correctional Facility before securing bail from a Federal High Court in Abuja, leading to his release on 21 January 2025.

Days after regaining freedom, the rapper took to social media to allege that he had narrowly escaped an assassination attempt while leaving a nightclub in Lagos.
