The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Ondo State Chapter, in collaboration with the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), has concluded plans to stage an awareness walk in commemoration of the 2025 International Women’s Day.

Scheduled for Saturday, March 8, 2025, the walk will kick off at 8:00 a.m. from Adegbemile Cultural Centre Junction Alagbaka, Akure.

According to the organisers, the initiative is aimed at promoting awareness of women’s rights, gender equality, and the collective responsibility to foster an inclusive society.

They emphasised that the programme would amplify voices advocating women’s empowerment and justice to ensure a better future for all.
